My name is Noah Schmitz. I work for Ametek Programmable Power, a leading provider of precision, programmable power supplies. Prior to Ametek, I spent eleven years at Agilent Technologies working in RF&Microwave communications as well as power applications. My current specialty is Solar Array Simulation; or the art of emulating the IV output of a solar panel for terrestrial and space applications. This is my (semi) professional blog.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Oklahoma and my Master's Degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. (Yes, I was as surprised as everybody else that between my two alma maters, Stanford enjoyed greater football success in 2010 than OU.) My heroes are Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, and Bertrand Russell.
